About

Who am I? Good question!

I’m a Brisbane-based writer, holding a degree in creative and professional writing, along with an earlier degree in information technology. I’ve extensive experience with writing outside of this, namely from working my own projects.

I first discovered my passion for writing shortly after graduating high school, as I realized it was something I could pursue without the restriction of assessment. And so I began to cut my teeth with writing fanfiction and – eventually – a web serial novel, Human & Lupusad – Of Men and Wolves. While I didn’t post it to a community known for its creative writing, it still proved a surprising success and gained a following. Combined with reflection on my studies in IT – finding that much of my academic success was the result of my writing skills – I realized that I had discovered my passion, and decided to follow it further.

Currently, I am making the most of self isolation by honing my writing skills wherever possible. My main project at the moment is rebooting Human & Lupusad into the beginnings of a YA series. I am also working with local publisher Wombat Books as a submissions editor, continuing on from an internship with them last year. While this year hasn’t gone quite as planned thanks to the whole global pandemic thing, I remain committed to honing and capitalizing on my craft.
